Seed Stitch Poncho aka The Perpetual Purple Poncho

The Perpetual Purple Poncho got it's name by the facts that 1) I am a new knitter and the seed stitch took me forever, and 2) I ran out of yarn 3/4 through and had to scour the internet to find some more because my LYS (Local Yarn Store) was out.  The design is called Seed Stitch Poncho by Santa Barbara Knitting Studio.  It's knit out of Cascade Sierra Quattro, and the alpaca is very warm, almost too warm.   As a new knitter this pattern appealed to me because it's basically just a large square with a hole in it for the neck.  No increasing or decreasing, however you do have to pick up stitches for the neck, which I'd never done before and now know how to do better!
