I have two small boys who were begging me to knit something for them. What do you knit for a boy in the summertime? I found a man-sized tennis vest from an old Family Circle Easy Knitting pattern and radically downsized it (which was a great learning experience). This was also my first cabling experience, so it was enjoyable all-around. The result is knit in discontinued Lion Brand Cottonease. I'm not happy with the neck and arm trim -- I didn't leave enough room for the big border like the bottom. Like I said, learning experience!
